George Groves has announced his return to the ring following his defeat to Carl Froch at Wembley Stadium in May.

The 26-year-old will face Christopher Rebrasse in the shadow of his historic rematch with Froch, as the two meet at Wembley Arena on September 20 for the Frenchman's European super middleweight championship and in a final eliminator for the WBC world super middleweight title.

With two successive losses to Froch in IBF and WBA title fights still fresh in his mind, Groves will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

"It is great to be back at Wembley and back to world-class boxing," he said.

"Last time I was here it didn't go as well as I would've hoped but I think I have proved I belong here.

"Sometimes it takes just one punch and that is what ended my ambition to be world champion back in May but we are back on the road - the journey will continue.

"Win this fight and I am back in the picture, that is vitally important - I can't wait to be world champion and it will happen in the near future. It is good to be back in boxing and back in at the deep end."
