Amir Khan will fight the undefeated American Danny Garcia on 14 July for the WBC world light-welterweight title.
The British fighter still hopes for restoration of the WBA super-lightweight and IBF light-welterweight titles he lost in controversial circumstances to Lamont Peterson, whose drug-test failure led to last Saturday's scheduled rematch to be called off.
Peterson is appealing against his failed drugs test, but if Khan does get his belts back (or the titles are declared vacant) his fight against Garcia could be a unification contest. "It's a great match-up, the WBC title will be on the line," he said.
