Tyson Fury will make his American debut against former IBF cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham on 20 April at Madison Square Garden in New York. Victory in the IBF eliminator fight would help the 24-year-old British heavyweight's chances of meeting world champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Cunningham, 36, lost his title after defeat to German Yoan Pablo Hernandez in October 2011 and has lost two of his last three fights. "I'm absolutely ecstatic to be fighting at Madison Square Garden," said Fury. "I can't wait to put my name with a long list of champions who have fought there. "
