Great Britain's showjumpers added the European team title to their London Olympics gold medal following a dramatic victory in Herning, Denmark. The British quartet of Ben Maher, Michael Whitaker, William Funnell and Scott Brash prevailed by just 0.59 penalties from silver medallists Germany.

Meanwhile Charlotte Dujardin set a new world record but Great Britain fell agonisingly short in their bid to retain the European dressage team title. Dujardin, a double Olympic gold medallist last year, broke her own world best of 84.447 per cent but had to settle for bronze.
