NRL side New Zealand Warriors beat the Melbourne Storm 28-14 on Sunday but what will be remembered is Nathan Friend's outrageous pass leading to a try.

The 34-year-old caught the ball mid-air where he was accidentally tipped by Kenny Bromwich which led to him falling from behind.

Nevertheless, the hooker's athleticism came into play as he actually managed to pass the ball back to Shaun Johnson mid-backflip, through his legs, and still landed on his hands and feet.

After the halfback got the ball back he immediately passed it to Sam Tomkins who switched it to Tuimoala Lolohea, who went over for a try in the corner.

This excellent show of athleticism made Fox Sports commentator Andrew Voss say that this "may be the greatest piece of gymnastics rugby league you’ve ever seen.”

This is a definite candidate for not only the best try of the year, but possibly the best try ever.

Do you think that was the best try ever? Let us know in the comments' section below...
