The uncertainty over the new title sponsor for Super League could drag on until two days before the new season.
Talks have been going on for weeks with potential successors to Engage Assurance. The field appears to have narrowed to two – marketing group Probiz and haulage firm Eddie Stobart.
It could be the launch of the competition on 1 February before the deal is confirmed.
