The new Widnes captain Kevin Brown will make his debut against Hull this evening. Brown was signed from Huddersfield this winter but has watched the first four games of the season from the stands after suffering a leg injury in training.

Dennis Betts, the Widnes coach, has Patrick Ah Van back from injury and the prop Ben Cross returning from suspension. Hull can recall Daniel Holdsworth at half-back after missing last weekend with concussion.

The Catalan Dragons, at home to Wakefield, also have a key player returning, with Brent Webb having served his suspension. The Wildcats have recalled Kyle Trout from his dual-registration deal at Doncaster and he could replace their captain Danny Kirmond, who is expected to miss six weeks with a knee injury picked up last week.

There will be a transfer target for wildly ambitious Salford on each side when Wigan go to Castleford tomorrow. The Tigers have Rangi Chase back after a two-match suspension, whilst Sam Tomkins is in the Warriors’ squad.

The League leaders, Huddersfield, put up their perfect record for the visit of Bradford.

Warrington, who are at Hull KR, have recalled Rhys Williams from his loan at Salford, because of an injury to winger Joel Monaghan. The Wolves are without Adrian Morley, following his bicep operation, but Ben Westwood is back from suspension.
