"We've got the longer hitters and a great record in the foursomes and fourballs. If we get off to a good start then the momentum could really swing our way. It's all going to come down to the 12 singles on Sunday and, again, it will be vital that we get off to a good start."

Three fellow Britons in Trish Johnson, Catriona Matthew and rookie Karen Stupples join Davies, who has played in all nine Solheims. Johnson returns for her seventh Solheim having missed the last two. "It's great to be back and getting the chance to have a crack at winning on US soil for a first time," she said.
