Lacrosse: Scotland beat Japan in women's World Cup

Scotland began their programme in the women's World Cup in Tokyo yesterday with an impressive 9-4 victory over Japan. Heidi Cohu hit a hat-trick, and there were two goals from Susan Warren and Ali Gibb and one each from Amanda McKie and Kirsten Doig.

WOMEN'S WORLD CUP (Tokyo, Japan): Scotland 9-4 Japan; Australia 6-0 Canada; Wales 2 USA 13.
