Formula One: 1000 races in numbers

Lewis Hamilton took victory in the British Grand Prix for a record sixth time, moving him clear of Alain Prost and Jim Clark as the most successful driver at Silverstone, though it did not come without it's drama in a thrilling race.

Hamilton inherited the lead when the safety car was deployed due to a spin for Antonio Giovinazzi, with Valtteri Bottas already pitting where Hamilton had not. Behind them, a raging battle between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc ended in favour of the Ferrari man, but only after Verstappen was taken out of third when battling with Sebastian Vettel - who received a 10-second penalty for the collision.

Verstappen was able to salvage fifth place behind his Red Bull teammate Pierre Gasly, while Vettel finished down in 15th. Re-live the action below.

What time does it start?

The British Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 14 July at 2:10pm BST.

Where can I watch it?

The race will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 from 12:30pm and Channel 4 from 1:10pm.

The national anthem is over and done with, meaning drivers can return to their cars and finally prepare for lights out. Just 15 minutes until we're underway.

Late drama at Red Bull, where frantic work is being carried out on the rear wing of Max Verstappen's car...

Red Bull are changing the rear wing on Verstappen's car, with Christian Horner confirming there was an issue with one of the end plates that the FIA gave permission to change. Horner appears confident that the work will be completed before the grid is cleared, so it looks like it's back to business as usual at Red Bull.

They are doing the same on Gasly's car, so it appears a part malfunction has been spotted by the Red Bull team just minutes before the race gets underway.

Weather update

There's not much sun in the sky and rain has been reported as close as Milton Keynes. A shower is expected around 3pm, halfway through the race, though if rain does arrive it's not expected to be serious enough to force drivers into pitting for inters. Then again, this is Silverstone...
