Track cycling and rowing should provide Great Britain's best medal chances today.

The track cycling begins with both the men's and women's Team Pursuit events. Britain won the men's event at Beijing four years ago and Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny will hope to retain their title, with Philip Hindes now with them. Their qualification is at 4.15pm and final at 6.15pm. Victoria Pendleton and Jessica Varnish compete in the women's equivalent, qualifying at 4pm, with the final at 5.59pm.

At Eton Dorney, the likeliest medallists are the men's lightweight four, made up of Peter Chambers, Richard Chambers, Rob Williams and Chris Bartley. They race at 12.10pm.
