England got their three-Test tour of Australia underway at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium with a 39-28 victory as they held off a spirited Wallabies fightback in their own backyard, with revenge on their mind after last October’s Rugby World Cup defeat. Follow the latest here.

19 mins: England break! Joseph sprints away from Arnold and offloads to Brown after committing Folau. Brown is caught by Foley, and his offload attempt to Watson can only find Haylett-Petty, much to England's angst. Australia try to counter but are stopped and kick the ball away, and England are quickly back into the Australian 22.

20 mins: Penalty to England in front of the posts as Fardy kills the ball deliberately. Wallabies' captain Moore had blood pouring from a cut on his head and he'll need treatment, while Farrell will go for the easy shot at the posts.

24 mins: Kruis takes a hard run up at Hooper and bounces the Aussie flanker, but his team-mates can't follow suit and England are pinged for not releasing. They've got a man hurt though in Simmons, and he appeared to hurt his leg on the way down in a lineout. Clearly looked in pain there and he hasn't got up.

 Well, the answer is he's not. Simmons is off, and James Horwill, former captain and current Harlequins lock, returns to Australian rugby after missing the World Cup.

26 mins: An error from Folau (they actually exist) as he kicks out on the full to hand England superb postioning on the 22. The lineout is scrappy but Itoje does well to retrieve the ball. Offside from Australia at the ruck in front of the posts again and this should be another three points for Farrell.

29 mins: I barely had time to tell you that Horne was off with a head injury with Christian Lealiifano coming on, but that man again Bernard Foley spotted a gap in the line to surge through, round Brown and score in the corner. We're taking a look at it though, as there's a suspicion of obstruction back towards the 10m line...what's the TMO saying?
