England 25 Scotland 13: Ben Youngs insists 'there's a lot more to come' from England after Six Nations scare

Scrum-half Ben Youngs was left with a mixture of happiness, relief and frustration as England got their RBS 6 Nations title bid back on track with a 25-13 win over Scotland at Twickenham.

With England's conquerors from last time out Ireland losing to Wales earlier in the day, Stuart Lancaster's men moved to the top of the table with their victory over Scotland, but they made hard work of it after missing a host of try-scoring chances.

And man of the match Youngs admits they need to be much more clinical in future as they prepare to face France in their final match next week.

He told BBC1: "It was really important to us to bounce back from the Ireland defeat and I think we did that, but there was also some disappointing elements in our game, we missed a lot of opportunities and left a lot (of points) out there.

"Relief in the end because we didn't want them to come back and bite us, missing those chances, and luckily they didn't. However, there's plenty to look at on Monday. We need to capitalise on those mistakes and those opportunities we're creating but not taking.

"Happy with the result, but in terms of performance there's a lot more to come."

He added: "Scotland are a very good team and we've got a lot of respect for them. They came back at us but if we'd taken those opportunities and been a little more clinical it could have been a different game,

"We got the result we wanted and we move on to France next week."

England boss Lancaster echoed those thoughts.

He said: "Frustrating. We probably left three or four tries out there didn't we. Pleasing to get the win in the end but we definitely left some out there."

Ireland beat England 19-9 in Dublin earlier this month and would have had one hand on the title had they managed to overcome Wales at the Millennium Stadium, with a trip to winless Scotland to come in their final match.

Lancaster admitted Wales' win was a "bonus" but said his side need to improve if they are to finish the job themselves against France at Twickenham next week.

He said: "We picked up the Wales result, that was a bonus, the lads didn't know (the result) but we now know what we've got to do and we're last game up, so it's set for a big weekend.

"We just need to be more clinical next week if we're going to get the job done.

"It's a win but a lot to do."
