2013 was all about Andy Murray and Great Britain's long wait for a champion. 2014 has so far been the year of the Maple Leaf. With Milos Raonic becoming the first Canadian man to reach a Grand Slam semi-final in more than a century, Eugenie Bouchard meets Petra Kvitova on Saturday as the first female Canuck ever to reach a final.

Bouchard beat Romania's Simon Halep on Thursday 7-6, 6-2 on Centre Court to book a place against the 2011 winner Petra Kvitova.

The Czech will be favourite but the Canadian 20-year-old is a determined and confident player. It is only two years since Bouchard became the first Canadian to win a junior Grand Slam in singles when she clinched the 2012 Wimbledon girls' title.

Kvitova is playing her second Wimbledon final in three years following her 2011 victory against Maria Sharapova on Centre Court. She is hoping to become the only current women’s player other than the Wlliams sisters to have won the Wimbledon title more than once.
