Johanna Konta what promised not to let Simona Halep divert her attempt to become the first British woman to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals since 1978.
Konta beat France's Caroline Garcia 7-6 (7/3) 4-6 6-4 in the last 16 and is now looking to match Virginia Wade's run to the last four 39 years ago.
She may also have her eye on Wade's most significant record as the last British female to win Wimbledon in 1977.
But first, Konta must overcome Halep, the world number two, for whom the stakes are also high as she needs just one more victory at SW19 to become world number one.

What time does it start?
The match is third up on Centre Court.
Expect Novak Djokovic to beat Adrian Mannarino in three, but don’t be surprised if Jelena Ostapenko’s quarter-final against Venus Williams turns into a real slugfest.
All things considered, we think the match will likely begin at around 4pm.

What is the head to head record like?
Encouragingly for British tennis fans, Konta has won both of her previous matches against Halep who is the second seed at The Championships.
In 2015, Konta beat Halep in three sets at Wuhan.
And this year, Konta fought back from a set down to beat Halep 3-6 7-6(7) 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the Miami Open.

Johanna Konta, on whether there would be any bad blood between herself and Halep after their Fed Cup spat: “I'm playing against another tennis player, another opponent.
“I'm not playing against a crowd. I'm not playing against a past experience.
“Again, they were not in my shoes. They were not being verbally threatened. I think it's very difficult for them to understand my position in it."
Simona Halep, on the same topic: “After the match that day I said sorry if she felt bad. In my opinion, the public was very fair.
“I didn't have an emotional match with her. The problem was not with me. I don't expect it to be emotional, I expect a battle.”

We are well and truly into the business end at Wimbledon with the world's most famous tournament already serving up some crackers.
Andy Murray, Jo Konta and Roger Federer are all already safely through but Rafael Nadal is out after an absolute classic on No.1 on Monday evening with Gilles Muller triumphing in a five-set thriller.
The women's quarter-finals take centre stage on Tuesday with Brit Konta hoping to continue her march through the field.

Djokovic first up
It may be women's quarter-final day at the All England Club but it is Novak Djokovic who will kick today's Centre Court action off.
The No 2 seed was due on Court One after Gilles Muller's win over Rafa Nadal yesterday but that epic match finished so late that the Serb didn't make it out onto court.
Djokovic's fourth-round match against Adrian Mannarino is scheduled to begin at 12pm.

The covers have come off on the outside courts after a brief shower but the rain is unlikely to stay away for long.

An unforced forehand error from Mannarino brings up two more break points for Djokovic. The Frenchman saves the first with an unreturnable serve before a stunning backhand up the line takes the game to deuce. After two deuces Mannarino holds to get off the mark in this opening set.

Djokovic produces a sublime drop shot on the run which Mannarino somehow reaches... but the Frenchman can't put the ball back into court as Djokovic holds to love for a second game in a row.

Mannarino sends down a couple of unreturnable serves to wrap up his first love service hold.
Djokovic 6-2 1-0 Mannarino* (*denotes next server)
Djokovic produces his first ace of the match to bring up a couple of game points at 40-15. He squanders the first one with a poor backhand but makes no mistake with the second as he puts away an easy overhead.
Djokovic 6-2 3-0 Mannarino* (*denotes next server)
Djokovic holds to 30 but he's not happy at all. The Serb sits down at the change of ends and shakes his head in disbelief at the state of the Centre Court surface.
