NFL week two round-up: Packers hold off Seahawks; Cowboys edge Eagles; Steelers cruise past 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys shut down DeMarco Murray and beat the Philadelphia Eagles 20-10 in the NFL on Sunday to improve to 2-0, but the victory came with a cost - quarterback Tony Romo went down hard and left the game with a broken left collarbone.

Romo suffered a similar injury in Week 7 in 2010 and missed the rest of the season. The team said he'll be evaluated by doctors on Monday.

Dallas already lost wide receiver Dez Bryant last week with a broken right foot.

Kyle Wilber returned a blocked punt 26 yards for touchdown and Brandon Weeden threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Williams as the Cowboys overcame a team-record 18 penalties in their 10th consecutive road win.

Murray had 2 yards rushing on 13 carries in his first game against his former team.

In other games across the league, Green Bay outlasted Seattle 27-17 in a rematch of last season's NFC title game, Johnny Manziel led Cleveland to a 28-14 win over Tennessee, Carson Palmer threw for four touchdowns to lead Arizona to a 48-23 victory over Chicago, and Tom Brady and the Patriots edged Buffalo 40-32.

In Green Bay, Wisconsin, Aaron Rodgers threw for two touchdowns including a 10-play, 80-yard scoring drive that made it 24-17 with 9:28 left.

Jayrone Elliott made a lunging, one-handed interception of a short pass from Russell Wilson with 6:50 left, one of the rare mistakes in the second half for Seattle's dual-threat quarterback.

Cleveland's Manziel threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin on the Browns' second play and connected with his wide receiver again for a clutch 50-yarder with 2:52 left.

Benjamin also returned a punt 78 yards for a TD in the first half as the Browns got just their third home-opening win since 1999.

Starting in place of injured Josh McCown, Manziel finished 8 of 15 for 172 yards.

Palmer, meanwhile, connected with Larry Fitzgerald for three TDs and David Johnson returned the opening kickoff a team-record 108 yards and added a rushing TD for the Cardinals, who are off to a 2-0 start. Palmer was 17 of 24 with 185 yards to improve to 15-2 in his last 17 starts.

Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler left the game with a hamstring injury.

Brady threw for 466 yards - the second-most of his career - and three touchdowns in leading New England to victory. He improved to 24-3 in his career against Buffalo.

Julian Edelman scored two touchdowns, but the Patriots needed to stave off a fourth-quarter Bills rally after building a 37-13 lead through three quarters.

Elsewhere, Pittsburgh rebounded from a season-opening loss to the Patriots last week by routing San Francisco 43-18.

Ben Roethlisberger passed for 369 yards and three touchdowns and DeAngelo Williams matched a team record with three rushing scores for Pittsburgh. Antonio Brown caught nine passes for 195 yards.

Oakland quarterback Derek Carr threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Seth Roberts with 26 seconds left to cap the most productive day of his young career, leading the Raiders to a surprising 37-33 win over Baltimore. Carr threw for a career-high 351 yards and three touchdowns.

In Minneapolis, Adrian Peterson had 192 total yards in his first home game in 658 days as the Vikings topped Detroit 26-16.

Peterson missed most of last season amid a scandal over his disciplining his 4-year-old son with a wooden switch. He was suspended by the league and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault.

Cincinnati remained perfect on the season, topping San Diego 24-19 to improve to 2-0. Andy Dalton threw three touchdown passes and Giovani Bernard finished with 123 yards rushing.

San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers' streak of consecutive completions ended at 22, a Chargers record. The streak was two shy of Donovan McNabb's NFL record of 24.

In other games, Tampa Bay held on for a 29-19 win on the road against a mistake-prone New Orleans, Atlanta squeaked by the New York Giants 24-20, Jacksonville topped Miami 23-20 in a matchup between Florida teams, Carolina defeated Houston 24-17 and Washington beat St. Louis 24-10.
