Police are searching for an Irish student who has gone missing in London while on a visit from Dublin.

Patrick Halpin, 18, was last seen leaving Zoo nightclub on Bear Street off Leicester Square in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He is described as being around 5”5 with blue eyes and sandy brown hair. He also speaks with an Irish accent.

He was travelling with Dublin City University’s Drama Society, with around 40 other students also on the trip.

Patrick’s sister Regina Halpin has launched a Facebook plea to find her brother today. She said “He left to go to Burger King but he did not return home. He should have been staying in the Astor Museum Hotel in Bloomsbury”.

Anyone with knowledge of Patrick’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police on 101. Irish citizens may contact the Gardai.
