OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

On a quiet block on the outskirts of Ibiza Town, this hotel sits just behind Es Figueretas beach. Although Ibiza's famous nightlife is easily reached, this feels like a bit of an urban oasis with sea views from the rooftop bar as well as some of the rooms. Comidas San Juan serves authentic Spanish classics like croquetas and tortillas in Ibiza's old town - a 25-minute walk away, mostly along the coast.

By Plane: flights to Ibiza airport take 2 hours 30 mins from London, 2 hours 25 mins from Bristol and 2 hours 50 mins from Manchester. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from Ibiza airport. Book flights to Ibiza.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

This gorgeous Art Deco building looks like the sort of place Hercule Poirot might book a room, it's exterior brilliantly white with pops of tropical teal and a sentry guard of swaying palms. The look inside is similarly elegant, but the hotel's biggest sell is its bijou pool with gorgeous day beds, swathed in gauzy linens.

THE FACILITIES

For a small hotel, MiM packs plenty in. The heated outdoor pool sits alongside a plethora of places to sunbathe among the palms, plus a restaurant (elsewhere there are also two bars). Service here is second-to-none - staff are charming, solicitous and genuinely want guests to have a good time. The concierge can book you tickets for the hottest club nights.

BED AND BATH

Styled by London-based designer Sean Cochrane, the hotel's rooms and suites are in keeping with its Art Deco heritage. Grey-panelled walls are teamed with a velvet bedhead and white linens, period-style light fittings and herringbone floors. Marble bathrooms have generously-sized walk-in showers and are well-supplied with organic toiletries.

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom, TV, hairdyer, free Wi-Fi

FOOD AND DRINK

Poolside Deco is the hub of the hotel and is great for lunch and breakfast; the latter is served buffet-style, but guests can order fresh eggs from the kitchen. The restaurant also provides waiter service to the daybeds. MiM's two bars are chalk and cheese; one is a suntrap rooftop terrace serving sushi, sashimi and an extensive drinks list, and the other is a low-lit cocktail lounge.

Restaurant Deco: Mediterranean dining, dishes include tapas, ceviche, burgers. Open daily 8am-7pm. Mains from €16.
