Stylish, spacious Tewkesbury Park is an impressive mansion, beautifully set in its own golf course on the southern side of Tewkesbury. The elegant main building dates from the 18th-century; more recent additions include a leisure annex with swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, dance studio, tennis courts and more, and a large wing for weddings, private parties and meetings. A supremely comfortable venue, the hotel has Nordic-style furnishings in a pleasing harmony of browns and blues and big windows for wonderful, eye-stretching views. Two large lounges, a restaurant serving a seriously tasty medley of British and Indian cuisine and 93 generously sized bedrooms complete the picture. Wherever you are here, the panoramic views are mesmerising - whether from the large lounge, the restaurant and orangery or the bedrooms.

The hotel has been cleverly designed to max out natural light and the property's stupendous views - there are even corridors with big windows. The mood is set by the big, bright reception area with a glass ceiling and steps leading up to a chill-out bar area. Furnishings are Scandi-chic, with comfy wingback chairs, lots of cushions, and sofas in soft blues, browns and yellows.

The staff seem seem infectiously happy to be here, and there's a terrific range of facilities, particularly for outdoor activities, including two golf courses, tennis and squash courts and a leisure annex with an outdoor sauna and hot tub as well as an indoor pool, a gym, studio, golf shop and café, plus two spa treatment rooms.

Dishes include Herefordshire beef with glazed Evesham carrots, and veg dishes such as roasted aubergine roulade with grilled tofu and spinach masala sauce.
