THE LOOK AND FEEL

This former forester's cottage with its low ceilings and reclaimed wooden beams may date back to 1650, but Farrow & Ball wallpaper, contemporary styling and luxe velvet chairs have brought it on trend. Exquisite furniture handmade from local wood ensures the forest is always present. The ambience is relaxed, casual and friendly.

THE FACILITIES

Rustling up an extra breakfast sausage for the dog is all part of the excellent service here. Tea and cake provided a warm welcome on arrival, and the staff were happy to chat and recommend places to visit. The only facility is a snug with an honesty bar offering local Pig beer, wines and snacks.
