H10 has five hotels in Lanzarote (four of them in Playa Blanca and one in Costa Teguise) and the only five-star establishment is H10 Rubicón Palace; it's very much the jewel in the crown. A family-friendly resort within a resort, you won't get bored with the Rubicón Palace as a base.

The hotel is closer to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, 15km away, than Lanzarote airport, which is 35km away and a half-hour drive. The close-at-hand Chiringuito Tropical which specializes in rice dishes is the ideal spot from which to watch the sun go down.

By plane: flights from London, Birmingham and Manchester to Lanzarote take around 4 hours 30 mins. The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Lanzarote airport. Free parking on-site. Book flights to Lanzarote.

Lanzarote's history and traditions provide inspiration for the hotel's interior design, whilst the exterior feels altogether more nautical, although when it was constructed in 2001 the idea was to mimic a traditional Canarian pueblo. There's certainly a relaxed village atmosphere about the place with guests moving at a subdued pace.

Exceptional service ensures a hassle-free holiday. Five swimming pools include one heated in winter; the main pool looks like a lagoon and is festooned with a schooner. There is a multi-sports court, along with beach volleyball, mini golf and petanque areas. Nightly shows light up the hotel in the evening.
