For the ultimate luxury hotel experience nowadays, it seems travelers need to pick a property with a catamaran.

The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora has just launched Navigator, its custom-built catamaran which will be on hand to take guests wherever they choose in the sparkling blue seas of Bora Bora island.

The boat, which is the largest capacity craft on the French Polynesian island, boasts a full bar, dining tables, rooftop sundeck, bathroom and showers, along with a dual sound system on both decks for late night parties.

The resort's general manager, Sebastian Carre, says that the boat can be used for "a sunset cocktail cruise, a group snorkeling outing or airport transfers."

But Four Seasons isn't the only place realizing that some guests are keen to get out on the water.

The Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya resort in Mexico has been offering guests the use of its 48-foot luxury catamaran "La Bonita" for years, which takes guests out for short trips, starlit dinners and overnight charters around the Caribbean.

Hilton's Waikiki Beach resort offers lunch and dinner trips on board its "Spirit of Aloha Catamaran," along with snorkelling trips to view the area's marine life.

Even Richard Branson, who owns high-end holiday resort Necker Island, will rent out his Necker Belle private catamaran, complete with seven crewmembers and a mini-submarine to guests - but it'll set luxury lovers back €60,000 a week.
