Good to go: Australia; Hip Hotels; Iberia
Discounts down under
Flight Centre continues its Australia sale this week. Look out for the "Sydney Starter Package" – reduced to £799. It's a good option for those embarking on a longer trip, since it offers an initial three-night stay at the four-star Great Southern Hotel in the city and includes return airfare from London airports. When you consider that return airfare alone would normally cost around £800, this offer looks particularly attractive. Based in the heart of Sydney's entertainment district, the simple but stylish hotel gives you time to explore before launching into a longer adventure. The deal is valid for travel between 1 April and 30 May; book by 31 March.
Miami virtue
If sun, sea and style top the agenda for your perfect escape, then Virgin Holidays' collaboration with Hip Hotels ought to offer something suitable. Current offers on stays in design-led hotels include the Oberoi in Mauritius, or a little further afield to the Bulgari Resort in Bali. Our favourite this week takes you to Miami for £1,165, which includes return flights with Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow and a four-night stay at the Soho Beach House. As a member of the Soho House Group, the newly opened hotel has all the style of its sister venues. The offer is valid for departures between 1 June and 31 October.
Iberian escape
Whatever you may feel about cruises, where else could you get dance lessons, wine tasting, tennis courts, a huge swimming pool, gym and spa, plus a menu designed by Marco Pierre White all under one roof? Thomas Cook is currently offering a discounted seven-night voyage on P&O's Oceana around the Iberian peninsula – stopping at Lisbon, Vigo and Bilbao – for £699. Accommodation comes in the form of an inside stateroom cabin, plus there are 12 bars to stagger around – particularly appealing in this all-inclusive offer. Departs from Southampton on 2 July.
