Double amputee training for Ironman triathlon ‘loves proving people wrong’
Kacey McCallister is a double amputee who loves to prove people wrong and is even planning on attempting an Ironman triathlon despite losing both his legs in a road accident at the age of six.
McCallister regularly competes in Spartan Races and runs/walks using his hands and knuckles to drag himself along, and scale obstacles.
The 34-year-old kept playing sports and trying to be active following the accident and finished his first wheelchair marathon while in college. Now, he plans on to take on the gargantuan task of an Ironman triathlon – but you’d be a fool to be against him.
