Budget 2021: UC claimants to gain £1,000 a year as ‘taper rate’ cut by 8%

Rishi Sunak has announced a cut to the universal credit ‘taper rate’ in Budget 2021 that will see claimants on average keep an extra £1,000 a year of their benefits.
