And so it comes at last. Have you noticed yet? After 12 months and 378 testimonies, Lord Leveson is finally publishing his mammoth report today.

At stake: whether the press should regulate itself - the so-called system of self-regulation - through an independent regulator such as the PCC; or whether we need statutory regulation - that is, regulation ultimately run by the state (similar to other state regulators like Ofcom, which regulates the communications industry).
