Katie Hopkins was hospitalised after an epilepsy seizure “sent her crashing to the floor face first”.

The outspoken media personality detailed the incident in her column for the Mail Online on Thursday.

“KATIE! KATIE! I regained consciousness. Cold tarmac on my right cheek, the taste of kidneys in my throat, and rain pi**ing from a sky which wasn’t where it should be.”

The taxi driver, police and ambulance services assisted Hopkins, as did members of the public who formed a “rainbow canopy of umbrellas” while emergency services attended to her.

Saying it makes her appreciate the good in the world, Hopkins wrote: “As my own weakness, epilepsy, which sent me crashing to the floor face-first, serves as a reminder not to fixate on the bad. Sometimes we need to focus on the good.”

The 40-year-old also took to Twitter to thank the London taxi driver and ambulance services for assisting her.

In 2014, Hopkins said she was hospitalised 26 times in nine months due to epilepsy.
