Angelina Jolie addresses ‘heavy times’ in the United States
Angelina Jolie ‘I don’t recognise my country’ as free speech comes under threat in US
Angelina Jolie expressed her concerns about the current political climate in the United States, stating she no longer recognises her country.
Speaking at the San Sebastian Film Festival, she described the times as "very, very heavy" and warned against anything that "divides or limits personal expressions and freedoms."
Her comments were made while promoting her latest film, 'Couture', in which she plays a film director diagnosed with breast cancer.
Jolie is reportedly considering relocating outside the US, with plans to move abroad once her children Knox and Viv turn 18 next year.
This potential move is linked to the end of her custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt, as she reportedly never wanted to live in Los Angeles full-time.
