  • Bagpuss, the iconic pink and white cloth cat from the beloved children's television series, is set to return in a new live-action and animated feature film.
  • The film will be a sequel to the original Victorian-set series, bringing Bagpuss and his friends into contemporary Britain for a quest to mend lost and broken items.
  • Developed by Birmingham-based Threewise Entertainment, the production aims to blend heartfelt storytelling, comedy, and music, while remaining faithful to the classic show's spirit.
  • The project has secured investment from Creative UK and is being developed in close collaboration with the estates of original creators Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate.
  • The story for the film was approved by Postgate's son, Daniel Postgate, before his death, with the film currently scheduled for release in 2027.
