The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation criticized the film for depicting a husband deliberately feeding his allergic wife food and then withholding her EpiPen.
The charity stated that this portrayal is dangerous, irresponsible, and inaccurately shows the administration and immediate effects of an adrenaline auto-injector.
The Foundation has contacted the film's producers to express their concerns, but has not yet received a response.
The black comedy, a remake of the 1989 film, The War of the Roses, received a four-star review from The Independent.
