Gary Lineker overcomes BBC controversy to win best TV presenter award

Gary Linker appears to take swipe at BBC as former MOTD presenter collects NTA

Gary Lineker won the TV presenter prize at the National Television Awards, ending Ant and Dec's 23-year winning streak.
His victory followed his early departure from Match of the Day in May due to a social media post controversy.
Lineker stated his win demonstrated it is acceptable to use one's platform to speak for those without a voice, and he dismissed claims of being 'cancelled'.
Other notable winners included Michael McIntyre for the Bruce Forsyth entertainment gong and Clarkson's Farm for best factual entertainment.
Call The Midwife, EastEnders' Steve McFadden, I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and This Morning also secured awards at the ceremony.
