Bobby Vylan warns fans repeating IDF chant will cause him ‘trouble’
- Bobby Vylan, frontman of the punk duo Bob Vylan, cautioned fans at a surprise London gig against chanting against the Israeli military amid an ongoing police investigation into comments made at Glastonbury.
- During their set at the festival on 28 June, Vylan led the crowd in chants of “death, death to the IDF”, leading to condemnation from politicians and the BBC, which livestreamed the performance.
- During the London concert, Vylan instead led the crowd in chants of “Free, free Palestine”, saying that repeating the previous chant could cause him “trouble”.
- The band claims they are being targeted for their outspoken views, having reportedly been dropped by their agency and had their US tour cancelled due to visa revocations.
- Vylan told the London crowd he is “pretty tired”, but “they will not f****** silence us”.
