Jon Stewart shades Disney as they bring back Kimmel
Disney announced price increases for its various streaming service bundles, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, which will take effect from 21 October.
The standalone Disney+ with ads service will rise from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free premium version will increase from $15.99 to $18.99 per month; the UK will see its annual subscription increase to £99.90.
Hulu's ad-supported plan is also set to increase from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, with various bundles combining Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN also seeing price adjustments.
This marks the third price increase in three years for Disney's US streaming services, following previous hikes in October 2024 and 2023.
The price adjustments come amid controversy surrounding the brief suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! by Disney and ABC, after comments Kimmel made about a MAGA commentator, leading to outrage and calls for subscription cancellations.
