Why Howard Stern’s radio show could be facing the axe
Howard Stern says Donald Trump needs psychotherapy
Howard Stern's iconic radio show on SiriusXM is reportedly set to conclude after two decades, as his contract approaches renewal.
Sources suggest that SiriusXM anticipates Stern will decline a new offer, primarily due to the substantial financial demands of his salary.
Stern previously secured a five-year deal worth $500 million in 2004, and the broadcaster is now reportedly unable to sustain such high payments.
While financial constraints are the main reason, some sources indicate that Stern's outspoken political views, including his criticism of President Trump, may also be a contributing factor.
Stern joined SiriusXM in 2004 to avoid Federal Communications Commission censorship, having been the most fined radio host for indecency on terrestrial radio.
