  • True Threat follows special forces operative Vernon Threat (Majors) as he seeks justice for his son’s murder by infiltrating a Harlem gang-controlled building.
  • Director Gerard McMurray praised Cargill's unique talent, blending athleticism, charisma, and control, making her perfect for the role of Meeka, a key figure in the gang.
  • The film is the first production of Southland Stories, founded by Charlamagne Tha God, Basil Iwanyk, and Karen Kinney, aiming to highlight underrepresented voices from the South.
  • The movie marks Majors’ attempt to revive his career after being found guilty of assault and harassment.
