Cast revealed for The Social Network sequel

  • Jesse Eisenberg will not reprise his role as Mark Zuckerberg in the forthcoming sequel to David Fincher’s 2010 drama, The Social Network.
  • Jeremy Strong will take over the role of Zuckerberg in the new film, titled The Social Reckoning, joined by Jeremy Allen White, Mikey Madison, and Bill Burr.
  • Aaron Sorkin is writing and directing the follow-up, which is based on The Wall Street Journal’s “The Facebook Files” investigation.
  • The sequel will explore how Facebook prioritised profit over safety, endangering teens’ mental health and fueling the spread of misinformation.
  • Production is expected to begin next month, with the film scheduled for release on 9 October 2026.
