Jimmy Kimmel Live! returns to more ABC stations after short-lived boycott

Sinclair has announced the immediate return of Jimmy Kimmel Live! to its ABC stations, ending a boycott.
The show's return on Tuesday night garnered 6.3 million viewers, more than tripling its usual TV audience.
Sinclair had been boycotting the programme following controversy over Kimmel's comments after Charlie Kirk's death.
An estimated 23 per cent of US households were unable to watch the show's return due to boycotts by Sinclair and Nexstar, with Nexstar yet to comment on ending its own.
Sinclair stated its decision was influenced by viewer feedback and recent acts of violence, proposing measures like an independent ombudsman to ABC for accountability.
