Jimmy Kimmel to remain unavailable on some local networks
ABC's The View finally breaks silence on Jimmy Kimmel suspension
Sinclair Inc. announced it would continue to preempt 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on its ABC affiliate networks following the host's controversial comments about Charlie Kirk.
The media company stated it would replace the late-night talk show with news programming, with ongoing discussions with ABC regarding the show's potential return.
ABC, owned by Disney, had previously suspended production of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' for a short period but reinstated it after “thoughtful conversations” with Kimmel.
Kimmel's remarks, made on 14 September, accused Republicans of exploiting Charlie Kirk's death and included a joke about President Trump's reaction.
The incident has sparked a significant debate over free speech, with figures like Barack Obama criticising perceived government coercion against media companies.
