Mia Threapleton, the daughter of Kate Winslet, has clarified a “big misconception” about her childhood, saying assumptions that she spent a lot of time on film sets with her mother are incorrect.
“I can count probably on one and a half hands the amount of times that I did that as a child, and I don’t really remember any of them,” she told Style.
Threapleton, 24, started acting at 14 and has appeared in various projects, including starring alongside her mother in I Am Ruth.
She is next set to star in Wes Anderson's upcoming film The Phoenician Scheme.
Threapleton said Winslet encouraged her daughter's independent pursuit of acting, with her biggest piece of advice to “read the damn script as many times as you can” before starting work on a project.
