Actor Keeley Hazell, 38, has revealed she was "so embarrassed and ashamed" of her glamour modelling career, which began when she was 17.
Despite publicly stating at the time that the topless shoots were "empowering", Hazell admitted she was "mortified" and felt deep shame, hating her appearance and the attention.
She explained that she lied about her true feelings to maintain her male fanbase and prevent them from feeling shame for enjoying the photos.
Hazell's career was launched after winning The Sun's Page 3 competition in 2004, and although she earned as little as £250 per shoot, the money was "life-changing."
Her last Page 3 appearance was in 2009. The Sun stopped publishing Page 3 photos in 2015.
