Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show interrupted by Palestine protester
  • Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, a performer at the Super Bowl halftime show on 9 February, was arrested after holding up a Sudanese flag with a "Sudan and Free Gaza" message.
  • Police alleged Nantambu, 41, had permission to be on the field but "deviated from his assigned role" by interrupting the performance.
  • He surrendered himself on 26 June after an arrest warrant was obtained, and was booked on charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by interruption of a lawful assembly.
  • Louisiana State Police took over the investigation from New Orleans police due to Nantambu's access to a highly secured area.
  • The NFL commended the Louisiana State Police for their diligence and banned Nantambu from attending any future NFL games or events.
