Rockstar’s ‘pretty gnarly’ injury forces band to cancel UK and European shows
Caleb Followill is 'on the mend' but unable to travel or perform for at least eight weeks after a brutal injury
Kings of Leon have cancelled their upcoming UK and European shows due to frontman Caleb Followill shattering his heel in a "freak accident."
Followill said he broke his foot while playing with his kids and required emergency surgery.
Doctors have advised Followill to stay off his feet and avoid travel for approximately eight weeks.
The band was scheduled to begin their European tour on June 10 in Paris, with stops in Spain, Germany, Italy and Portugal, and were also set to perform at festivals in Cardiff and Lancashire.
Followill mentioned the band had planned to debut new songs during the tour and will now find alternative ways to continue their work while he recovers.
