- This project marks the seventh collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, with filming scheduled to commence in January.
- Scorsese, who was originally attached to produce, will now direct the psychological drama, which features a script by playwright Patrick Marber.
- The decision to proceed with What Happens at Night means other potential projects, including adaptations of The Wager and The Life of Jesus, have been postponed.
