Why the next two Avengers movies won’t be in cinemas anytime soon

  • Marvel Studios has delayed the release of the next two instalments in the Avengers franchise - Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
  • Avengers: Doomsday has been moved from May 1, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
  • Avengers: Secret Wars is now scheduled for December 17, 2027, instead of May 7, 2027.
  • The Devil Wears Prada 2 will take the original May 1, 2026 slot.
  • The delays follow rewrites and recasting for Doomsday after Jonathan Majors' assault conviction.
