- The concept of Secret Wars, involving multiple timelines collapsing, will facilitate this "reset" or "singular timeline," with the forthcoming X-Men solo movie being the first place this will happen.
- While current X-Men actors will appear in 2026's Avengers: Doomsday, iconic characters like Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are also slated for recasting, similar to how James Bond or Superman roles are re-cast.
- Separately, Robert Downey Jr is confirmed to return to Marvel as the villain Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, set for release in December 2026.
