Police deploy tear gas as 'No Kings' protesters rally against Trump
Millions protested against President Trump's agenda in "No Kings" marches across hundreds of US cities, coinciding with Trump's military parade and 79th birthday.
Protest organizers cited Trump's "authoritarian agenda" and recent immigration raids as reasons for the demonstrations.
Actors Ayo Edebiri and Mark Ruffalo, along with other celebrities like Kerry Washington, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Natasha Rothwell, participated in the protests.
Ruffalo stated that people are protesting because "we see our democracy is in real trouble" and that Trump has "made himself a king and dictator."
The "No Kings" protests followed a week where Trump deployed National Guard and US Marine troops to Los Angeles in response to demonstrations against his deportations.
