Noel Gallagher’s iconic guitar set for auction

Oasis perform 'Acquiesce' on opening night of reunion tour
  • A 1960s red Gibson ES-355 guitar, once owned by Noel Gallagher and famously broken by Liam Gallagher, is expected to fetch up to half a million pounds at auction.
  • The guitar's damage occurred during a backstage altercation in Paris in 2009, an incident that ultimately led to the split of the band Oasis.
  • Noel Gallagher's Takamine FP460SC acoustic guitar, used to record 'Wonderwall', is also up for sale with an estimated value of £200,000 to £400,000.
  • The Propstore music memorabilia auction, featuring 150 items from Oasis, will take place from October 23-24.
  • Other notable items in the auction include John Lennon's glasses, Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal fedora, Freddie Mercury's kimono, and Jimi Hendrix's handwritten lyrics, with the total estimated value of all lots exceeding £3 million.
