Only Fools and Horses star remembered for ‘mischievous charm’

Actor Patrick Murray, best known for his role as Mickey Pearce in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses, has died at the age of 68.
Murray starred in 20 episodes of the popular show from 1983 to 2003, with tributes praising his talent and the "mischievous charm" he brought to the character.
He had a prolonged battle with cancer, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy for a lung tumour in 2021, followed by treatment for a liver tumour, and a second primary cancer diagnosis in 2023.
Beyond Only Fools and Horses, Murray also appeared in films such as Scum and Quadrophenia, and later returned to acting in TV shows after a period working as a taxi driver.
Murray was married to Anong and had a daughter, Josie.
