Penny Lancaster initially claimed she was not a fan of Rod Stewart when they first met in 1999, having just ended a long-term relationship.
The then 27-year-old model described Stewart's world as a 'vortex' that she was 'sucked into', despite her initial reservations.
Lancaster and Stewart married in Portofino, Italy, in June 2007 and have two sons, Alastair and Aiden, with Stewart later regretting his initial reluctance to have more children.
Stewart, who has six other children, recalled Lancaster approaching him at a bar after his separation from Rachel Hunter, stating he was 'very lucky' to find her.
Lancaster's new memoir, 'Someone Like Me', which reflects on her life and relationship, is set to be published on 25 September.
