The UK’s favourite WWII film has been revealed (and it’s not Saving Private Ryan)

  • Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk has been voted the UK's favorite World War II Film in a poll conducted by Deltapoll for the War Movie Theatre podcast.
  • Dunkirk topped other classics such as Saving Private Ryan, The Great Escape, The Dam Busters, and Battle of Britain.
  • The 2017 Film starring Harry Styles, Cillian Murphy, and Barry Keoghan depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of 1940.
  • Saving Private Ryan came in second, followed by The Great Escape, The Dam Busters, and Battle of Britain rounding out the top five.
  • The poll comes as Europe commemorated the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
